Nasty Nest Outing at the Dirt Track

The Lucas Oil Winged Sprint Car Dirt Series comes to Dixie Speedway once a year and if you have never been to a dirt track race, this is one to see. A few of us Nesters went last year and had an absolute blast. The people watching is almost as fun as the on track action. We plan on getting there early to get a good parking space on the backstretch. Stay tuned for more details as the date gets closer.

Make sure to bring eye protection - last year we didn't know we were going to get pelted with dirt & rocks from the track.

Iain got an invite to go to Six Flags with some friends so he is torn about whether to go with us or his buds. Feel free to abuse him if he bails on us. Oh hell, just feel free to abuse him anyway,

Super Late Models, Limited Late Model, Sportsman, Econo and Super Bombers will also be running. Fireworks show as well.

Monkey and Jessie are in. We are meeting up at Greg Keith's hacienda at 4:00. This will give us time to fart around and hopefully make it to the pit gate that opens at 5:00 so we can get a good parking spot on the backstretch at the fence. Bring your goggles it's gonna get dirty. Looks like we have at least 6 going plus Ice Pirate stragglers. We'll buy tix at the pit gate.

There is an Ice Pirates game at 6. Some of them may straggle over afterwards.
