Our PP was horrible when he was here. How would he help? Team just didn't show any life tonight. It's those weird 5pm games. Or maybe it was the guy in the Thrashers santa hat sitting downstairs.

I'm not hitting the "Panic" button yet but let's say i'm hitting the "Worried" button.
Let me explain why. Those 4 games against Florida, New York, Tampa and Carolina were labeled "Must Win". Not because our situation was life or death but to give us a bit of a cushion for tougher games coming later in the month and in early april.
Having won only 2 out of 4 and especially coming out poorly the last 2 games, i am a bit worried. How can they expect to perform well in "Must Win" (and those will probably be a REAL Must Win) games against teams like Buffalo, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Washington, New Jersey and Pittsburgh?
If you lose a "Must Win" that was winnable. How can they expect to fare well in "Must Win" where they clearly are the underdgos

Funny Sam how you don't show up to congratulate/comment on how well the Thrashers played against the Islanders or when they played a pretty decent game against the Bolts. But you show up when the team is down. Carolina is the hottest team in the last 15 games as well. Something like 12-2-1.
Where was Kovy to bail out the Devils getting shutout by the worst team in the league the Oilers??
Where was Kovy's defense to keep the Flames from scoring 5 straight goals to win 5-3 against his Devils?

Fuck Legace. Who knows, maybe next year he'll actually start off on someone's roster.
I'm not going to get worried unless this continues. They've played well in every game since the break except for these last two. I just don't like how we couldn't get it going in any of the periods. We've seen us have trouble with one or two periods, but it's been a while since we haven't played in any of the 3. Without an actual Capt. on the team, I guess it may be difficult for someone to step up and right the ship during the game. Uggghhhhhhh Let's just get this out of our system and pay back Nashville Tues.

Every team goes through games like this. Do not get me wrong that showing was biblicly bad, so bad I left after the second period but every team that plays 82 games and has played three games in four nights is going to go through a horrible game.
Now comes the important day. It is today. Tape should be shown in silence, there should be coaches seathing, there should be players angry.
Tuesday is a chance to dig out of what happened.
